Job Purpose:
· This position is responsible for overseeing the streamlined operations of the IT E-commerce Systems department and ensuring the alignment of business objectives.
· This position develops and manages the E-commerce systems application portfolios and attains IT service level agreements within the organization.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Training/Systems:
· B2C and/or B2B e-commerce platforms.
· Demonstrate strong knowledge with IBM WebSphere Commerce product and eCommerce customer experience monitoring and systems monitoring tools.
· Demonstrate strong, problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
· Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, business office operations
· Ability to conduct research into software related issues
Additional responsibilities
· Plans, coordinates, directs and designs operational activities within the IT department.
· Enhance IT E-commerce functionality by providing direction and support to IT.
· Identifies, recommends, develops, and implements cost effective technology solutions.
· Participates in operations and strategic planning, including but not limited to business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
· Ensure the alignment of business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision.
· Defines and communication project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to IT management, executive team, department leads, support staff and end users.
· Authorizes and oversees the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and support of all software applications supporting the E-commerce strategy.
· Manages staffing including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
· Establishes and maintains regular written and in person communications with executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
· Develops and reviews budgets for and from IT department divisions
· Develops business case justifications and cost/benefits analyses for IT spending and initiatives
Description:
· Participate and drive the design and implementation of products using web technologies and actively engage with customers to complete and fully understand the technical requirements from inception to completion.
· Participate in and drive various software engineering projects using object-oriented methodology and component based architecture while adhering to information assurance security and technology standards.
· Must be able to actively participate in weekly development status meeting as well as ongoing product development design, review and integration meetings, be able to voice concerns and advise on possible resolutions.
· Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver tasks in a timely manner.
· Minimum of twelve years education and experience.
Education Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related applicable fields.
· Certified Web Developer in lieu of Degree.
Skills Required:
· Languages and technologies used on the project: C#; JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, MVC, CSS, SQL, and NHibernate.
