Net Developer - Qualified candidate will support the Agency's Division of Information Systems Security Administration and Operations that provides Access Controls to Information Technology resources. These access controls are for internal and external users and organizations. Additionally, the Agency has to maintain and manage all requests for exception to existing security configurations and policies in the remote access, wide area network (WAN) access arenas. Our customer has developed a variety of databases that house this information.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for not only assisting with testing these databases creating the ASP Web pages that "front end" these databases, but will also need to be able to write requirements and process documentation and perform code reviews. These Web pages will be used by internal and external entities. Candidate will work primarily on the customer site taking day-to-day technical direction from the customer and must have excellent customer liaison and oral and written communication expertise. Candidate must demonstrate attention to detail and the organizational skills to test, retest and record problems and ensure that they have been corrected.
Skills Requirements:
Required Skills (in priority order)
·Knowledge of SQL Server, VB.NET framework and ASP.NET - Web Development Focus
·.NET Certification / SQL Server Certification
· Knowledge of AJAX, JQuery, JavaScript, and VBScript.
· Ability to write and manage SQL queries.
· Ability to create and maintain SQL databases.
· Ability to create Web-enabled forms in Visual Basic.
· Experience with Manual Testing, UI testing, Backend testing and Basic Automation.
· Must have knowledge of Software Quality Assurance practices and the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
· Knowledge of the concept of least privilege and the ability to apply that concept to web form design and databases and other workflows.
· Ability to produce monthly reports on status and progress of current problem tickets and ad-hoc assignments.
· Ability to provide troubleshooting application and system performance issues.
· Ability to document work processes and product.
Desired Skills
·Experience designing 508 compliant web applications.
·Knowledge of Government contracting.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years of professional experience.
