Short Description:
The IID needs to migrate its current product registration front end (designed in Access 97) to a new front end built in Microsoft Visual (.net) and continue to use SQL as the data store. Must connect to outside data feed.
Complete Description:
The current software product (ACCESS 97) is no longer supported. Existing coding is fragile and unwieldy and does not allow IID to make changes.
Despite the fact that we now receive 75% of our filings electronically through a proprietary system, we still have to manage the data and perform analysis.
A redesign of the input screens will reduce the amount of time necessary to create new records based on paper filings.
IID has retained a business analyst who has documented current processes, is defining requirements and studying redesign of the screens and tab order to increase security and input speed.
The redesign will include a new numbering system with safeguards for better accuracy in maintaining filing identification.
Designer must be familiar with ACCESS 97, .NET, Java
