Position Description:
Qualified candidate will support the Agency’s Division of Information Systems Security Administration and Operations that provides Access Controls to Information Technology resources. These access controls are for internal and external users and organizations. Additionally, the Agency has to maintain and manage all requests for exception to existing security configurations and policies in the remote access, wide area network (WAN) access arenas. To that end, SDB has developed a variety of databases that house this information. The qualified candidate will be responsible for administering these databases, as well as, creating the ASP Web pages that “front end” these databases. These Web pages will be used by internal and external entities. Candidate will work primarily on the customer site taking day to day technical direction from the customer.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of SQL Server, VB.NET framework and ASP.NET – Web Development focus
.NET Certification / SQL Server Certification
Knowledge of AJAX, Jquery, Javascript, and VSScript
Ability to write and manage SQL queries
Ability to create and maintain SQL databases
Ability to create Web-enabled forms in Visual Basic
Ability to produce ad-hoc and recurring reports
Knowledge of the concept of least privilege and the ability to apply that concept to web form design and databases and other workflows
Ability to produce monthly reports on status and progress of current problem tickets and ad-hoc assignments,
Ability to document work processes and products
Ability to provide troubleshooting application and system performance issues
Excellent customer liaison and communication expertise
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Government contracting
Awareness of industry best practices related to web design and data base management
Certifications: .NET Certification / SQL Server Certification
Must have at least a BS degree with a minimum of six years of experience or an MS degree with four years
