041 - Food City Meat Wrapper - Scottsdale & McKellips

Position Purpose: Our Meat Wrapper will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks. To wrap, package and price meat, pork, poultry, and fish products.  

 

Responsibilities: A Meat Wrapper is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. 

A Meat Wrapper’s responsibilities include: 

Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance and genuine product expertise.   Must wear an approved hat or visor or/and hair net.   Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations.   Wrap, weigh and price all meats and related products processed in the department.   Follow approved procedures for weighing, wrapping, price marking and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation.  Ensure the maintenance of accurate pricing files.   Order wrapping supplies for the department (trays, shrink wrap film, labels, etc.)   Stock display cases.   Be familiar with the safe and proper operation of the meat department product scale and wrapping system and counter scales; be also familiar with the safe operation of other meat department equipment including knives, patty machine, tenderizer and meat saw.   Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.  All other related duties as assigned   

 

Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period: 

Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending
