Coordinates and executes HR service programs. Ensures the maintenance and proper utilization of systems, databases or processes by end user and ensures that service level agreements are achieved.
Detailed DescriptionIncumbents have substantial latitude in determining the best methods and procedures to follow to complete assignments. Tasks are broad and complex in nature where considerable independent judgment and discretion are required. Strong initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department's/divisions goals. May also be the entry level for the professional career path. Assignments are received in the form of results expected. Possesses broad knowledge of operations and policies. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work and/or provide project or task leadership. May be considered the expert in areas assigned. Builds strong internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing explanations in a problem solving capacity. Interfaces regularly with persons of higher positions.
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Coordinates and administers service program(s) within Recruitment, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits to ensure services are provided accurately and on time as per service level agreement. maintains and provides support to ensure service program(s), systems database or process are utilized properly by user groups. Provides value add input to ensure continuous improvement for any program(s), system or database. Recruitment activities include: coordinating recruitment activity for production area or for professional hiring with job posting, career fairs, information sessions, hiring sessions and interviews. Assesses incoming resumes and inventories them for future needs. Coordinates the offer process. Provides input into strategy and planning recruitment sources. Compiles recruitment metrics. Ensures external relationships are established (with educational institutions, recruitment agencies etc..) and maintained with feedback as needed and invoice follow-up. Payroll, Compensation and Benefits activities are transactional providing information, reports and guidance on policy to employees/users. Typically activities include executing tasks for analysis of data to detect errors, reconciling accounts, and administering specified service program(s). Provides input into project plans. Position acts as a key resource for usage for internal HR teams and end users. HRIS activities include support for systems and databases. Writing queries and ensuring that HR systems are properly utilized and maintained. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Excellent Customer Service skills. Sound project coordination/management skills. Ability to evaluate multiple highly detailed tasks, determine priorities and organize work in a manner that ~allows for timely completion of projects. Knowledge of documentation practices and broader policy. Broad knowledge of HR disciplines as they relate to one another. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of internal customers. Knowledge of government legislation impacting the practice of human resources management. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner. Some knowledge of HRIS software. Advanced knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Physical Demands Duties of this position are generally performed in good working conditions. Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Typical Experience Four to Six years of relevant experience. Typical Education Additional courses after High School or 2-3 year general Technical Diploma/Degree. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
