Position Purpose: Our Fromagerie Specialist will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks. The Cheese Specialist will work with the Bistro Team Lead to achieve sales and customer service goals established for the cheese department.
Responsibilities: A Fromagerie Specialist is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
A Fromagerie Specialist’s responsibilities include:
Responsible for ordering products, merchandising, achieving goals on sales and profits, controlling inventory and out of stocks, sanitation, shrink, supplies, equipment, and safety within the department. Responsible for working with vendors, stocking and cutting product, checking costs and product labeling, code dating and proper mark up for new cheeses to accurately maintain the department product levels and AJ's standards. Ability to creatively cross-merchandise with other departments and effectively merchandise cheese section with wines and fruit. Responsible for the operation and supervision of the cheese department and its employees. Educate and train assistant about cheese and new promotions as well as department operating procedures. Ensure compliance with heath department and weights and measures requirements. Maintain open communication with all members of the Bistro and Bistro Team Lead.
