The Chief Business Officer (CBO) is a senior executive position responsible for overseeing the financial, human resource, and operational aspects of the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CBO plays a crucial role in strategic planning, financial management, and ensuring the efficient operation of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Available: Immediately

Rate:  $95,000 - $115,000/ annually

Responsibilities

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the organization's annual budget process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and priorities.Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior leadership and the board of directors.Implement financial controls and risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's assets.Support fundraising efforts, donor relations, and special events, supporting programmatic goals.Monitor and oversee payroll. 

Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic plans and objectives.Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and program expansion to maximize impact.Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape.

Human Resource Management:

Manage day-to-day operations, including human resources, member management, finance, and administrative functions.Streamline processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and reporting obligations.

Partnership Development:

Cultivate strategic partnerships with government agencies, corporations, foundations, and other stakeholders to advance the organization's mission.Negotiate contracts, MOUs, and other agreements to support collaborative initiatives and programs.Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public events to enhance visibility and support fundraising efforts.

Leadership and Team Management:

Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Mentor and develop staff members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization.Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a supportive and inclusive work environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in financial management, human resource management, strategic planning, and operations leadership, preferably in the non-profit sector.Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to inform decision-making.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for making a positive impact in the community.

Physical Requirements/ Work Environment

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Occasionally positions self to maintain communication with childrenFrequently communicates with children and parents who have inquiries about the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
