What we’re looking for
Toyota’s Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer
The primary responsibility of this role is to support existing production lines and manage Engineering projects through design of auxiliary equipment and tools.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Engineering Department’s objective to support existing production lines and manage Engineering projects
What you’ll be doing
Design auxiliary equipment and tools from 3D printed materials & metal (including coated & heat-treated components).
Lead project activity, requiring management of internal & external resources, from concept to completion.
Lead problem-solving activities to identify items that need to be designed & fabricated, perform the 3D designs, create assembly drawings, fabricate materials and assemble items for use in Production.
Work seamlessly with other functions, Senior Management and peers; must be comfortable making presentations.
Prioritize and implement safety, quality and productivity improvements; use problem-solving and kaizen implementation to achieve KPIs and improve competitiveness.
Create, modify and follow Engineering standards.
Apply TPS principles for continuous improvement and elimination of waste.
Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, on occasion.
Qualifications/ What you bring
Bachelor's in science in Engineering or 5 years of equivalent experience in an Engineering capacity
2 years of experience with 2D & 3D design and fabrication of auxiliary equipment and tools from a variety of materials, especially 3D printed materials and metal. 2 years
2 years of working knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, including Assembly, Machining, Gear and Electric Motor.
2 years of proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, as well as external affiliates.
2 years of proven ability to work autonomously.
Flexibility to support weekend, temporary evening shift and holidays as needed.
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position

Toyota Unit Plant Experience
2 years of Project Management Experience
Production Assembly / Machining / Gear / Stator Line Experience
Panel-certified with Toyota Business Practices (TBP problem-solving methodology)
