1095-A Temp Team Lead
The 1095-A Project supports the Center for Medicaid Medicare Services (CMS) by performing case analysis and reconciliation of data from the health insurance exchange. This work is essential in ensuring that consumers who receive their health coverage through the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) can accurately file their taxes and properly reconcile any tax credits they received to help offset the cost of health insurance. This program is part of a large team that support the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace. Each year the Marketplace experiences an increase in consumer inquiries between the months of December and April that is referred to as Surge. We take great pride and care in adequately staffing our team to support the increase in the work we do during Surge to assist our fellow citizens. In our efforts, we are seeking dynamic contributors to help us exceed expectations of the program. **What is the position?** The Temporary Team Lead acts as the first line supervisor for a fully remote team of analysts supporting case analysis and reconciliation of data from the health insurance exchange. This position plays a significant role on a team supporting all aspects of people management as well as the design, development, and implementation of case analysis and reconciliation of data from the health insurance exchange. As a Temporary Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to utilize your data analysis experience as well as your leadership abilities and skills. You will also be a contributor to project coordination, workflow investigations, business procedures and process improvement. **What will I get to do?** As a Team Lead you will be responsible for leading and developing team members to support the project’s overall mission. This includes but is not limited to monitoring and managing employee performance, boosting employee engagement and motivation, handling interpersonal conflicts, managing your team’s attendance, time off requests and timecard review and approval. You will get to showcase your leadership skills as you coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities. You will be expected to lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment. You will also be expected to maintain transparent communication with your team. Appropriately communicate organization information and performance metrics through team meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM (Instant Messaging), and regular interpersonal communication. You will be expected to perform your duties in a dedicated secure area within your residence during our hours of operation that fall between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent OR 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. + 2 additional years of relevant experience. + 1 year experience with federal data or projects (including, but not limited to agencies such as CMS, IRS, DOD, VA, SSA or another federal agency). + Must be a US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US (if not a citizen) and a resident of the US for at least 3 years within the last 5 years. **Other Job Specific Skills** + Ability to manage inputs from multiple sources and levels while prioritizing and effectively communicating responses + Able engaged and inspire a team in a remote environment + Experience with complex data analytics and advanced problem solving + Excellent customer service skills + Able to work in a deadline-driven environment + Proficient written and oral communication skills EEO Requirements It is the policy of ASM that an individual's race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, gender identity, veteran status, sexual orientation or national origin are not and will not be considered in any personnel or management decisions.
