Job Description: Data Steward

Location: Vancouver, WA

Description: This position provides Data Steward support to the Transmission Resource and Work Planning (TEBW) organization. Responsibilities include data and document management, integrity, review, compliance, and reporting to support capital projects within the Transmission Engineering capital portfolio and the Abandoned Vehicles, Encampments, and Dumpsites (AVED) program.

Responsibilities:

Data Steward Duties (90%):

Perform manual data entry into relational databases from electronic records.Manage centralized mail inbox and distribute communications.Manage the AVED incident list.Manage TEBW organizations in the Project Web Application (PWA); train and assist users.Research and resolve data quality issues.Maintain, track, and report on organizational databases; produce various reports.Coordinate reporting needs with Business Analysts.Assist in drafting business data rules and recommending process improvements.Draft Standard Operating Procedures and governance documents.Create and maintain data dictionaries.Provide data management support and training to team members.Create monthly data compliance reports.Maintain filing systems and ensure compliance with INFOSEC and IGLM standards.Conduct annual review and inventory of official files.

Administrative Duties (10%):

Provide confidential administrative support to managers and staff.Schedule and attend meetings, prepare agendas, and transcribe minutes.Assist with personnel actions, contract documentation, and annual requirements.Coordinate or assist with organizational events.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in data management, data analytics, computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred.1 year of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with an associate’s degree, or 5 years without a degree.Experience in data management, data analysis, or a similar field.2 years of relevant work experience in administrative support functions.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).Experience analyzing and documenting large volumes of technical data.Experience managing large numbers of files and folders using Microsoft Windows networks or other document management programs.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of SharePoint or similar systems.Knowledge of Microsoft Project, preferably Project Web Application.General knowledge of electrical transmission technical terminology.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

Valid U.S. Driver’s LicenseThis position is not open to Foreign Nationals

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00
