The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Special Technical Operations (STO) Specialist working within the 16AF/J39 Directorate.  This position is located at Lackland AFB and is part of a large program supporting Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI to be considered.

Primary Responsibilities

This Special Technical Operations (STO) candidate provides subject matter expertise on Intelligence, Cyber and Space Planning for the 16AF Joint STO Cell.  This candidate is responsible for presenting 16AF ISR capabilities to Combatant Commands.  The candidate will rely on their breadth of experience in the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and STO/SAP community to plan real-world operations and exercises.  The candidate will be expected to create or contribute to CONOPs, EXORDs, and Deployment Orders for Combatant Command exercises and real-world missions.  This candidate will be a key member to a task force that provides Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance information to support national level Air Force Space requirements.  The candidate may be required to participate and contribute to OPGs and OPTs within 16AF/AFCYBER/JFHQ-C AF.  This candidate’s technical expertise will support US Central Command, US Indo-Pacific Command, US European Command, US Strategic Command, US Southern Command, Air Force Space Command, Army Strategic Command.   

        

Basic Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance

SAF/SAR/STO Access

Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Extensive knowledge of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP), Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and Review and Approval Authority

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting the ACC ISR enterprise

Prior experience assigned to HHQ (NAF and above)

Demonstrated experience with Combatant Command Structure, Authorities and Responsibilities

Knowledge of joint capabilities within the STO portfolio and special access programs

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
