We are seeking a Structural Fitter who possesses a solid understanding of the structural Fitting, Assembly & Welding Industry. The ideal candidate will use their knowledge of blueprint reading, measurements, and job specifications to construct an integrally complete erection system. You will be responsible for cutting, prepping, fitting, and tacking various materials, selecting appropriate tools to prepare surfaces for welding, and ensuring all structures are fit to specific tolerances. Additionally, you will install structural system hangers, operate cranes and forklifts safely, and direct helpers efficiently. Your role will also include documenting quality reports and adhering to safety and health regulations.

•\t6+ Years’ experience in Industrial Structural Fitting.\n•\tTack Welding Ability\n•\tSome vocational technical training is desired\n\n•\tFluent in understanding job specification, blueprint reading, target point measurements, true /plumb /square checking, and any necessary torque requirements, for large industrial structural steel systems.\n•\tThe ability to cut, prep, fit and tack small to large; HSS box tubes, Angle, W-members, Flat Plate, etc., from various material types through true-plumb-square; into weld ready status, using isometric and structural drawings, while adhering to specific fit tolerance requirements.\n•\tThe ability to properly select, measure, hand dress, score and cut with torch, air arc, plasma, grinder, power saws, hand tools, etc., as necessary to prepare metal surfaces for welding process to be completed per job specific requirements. \n•\tInstallation knowledge of all forms of structural system hangers, supports, braces, etc., from temporary through jamb-nut completion.\n•\tStrong structural aptitude and problem solver who can understand and follow instruction.\n•\tAccountability for completion of daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations.\n•\tOperate overhead cranes and or forklifts, while adhering to industry standard practices of safe rigging systems and techniques.\n•\tSafely and efficiently direct and monitor two or more helpers.\n•\tDocumentation of all quality reporting methods employed per SEA Quality Standards. \n•\tComplies with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements and is physically / medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHA standards.\n•\tResponsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
