Location Profile:

Located in North Hollywood, CA, Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company, a part of the Engineered Products Group, is among the world's leading manufacturers specializing in the design and production of sophisticated fasteners and multi-component fastening systems and devices, solving difficult engineering and critical performance problems.

Position Summary:

Building upon level one, with minimal assistance level two machinists operate 2-5 axis CNC/Automated machine cells as well as standalone machines, which requires basic machine setup including preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools, as well as loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets. Level two machinist competencies include the ability to use more advanced quality inspection tools and techniques such as height and air gauges and bench inspection. The level two machinist will have basic competencies in print reading and common CNC G and M codes. Typically, 2-4 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate CNC Mills, Lathes, or Swiss/ Star MachinesAbility to operate 2-3 CNC Mills, Lathes, or Swiss/Star MachinesInspects produced components per blueprint using standard inspection techniquesLoads/unloads parts in provided work holding method per setupReplaces broken cutting tools/inserts as neededDeburr parts as requiredCompletes work order documentation in accordance with AS9100 quality standardsLight Maintenance Duty of equipmentKeeps work center clean and free of debris

Required Experience:

2+ year minimum experience in aerospace/automotive machining or related industry. Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, CELOS controllers. Preferred certifications in CNC operations.

 

Level of Education:

High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
