**Job Title: 1st Shift Labeler** **Job Description** Responsible for producing the most valuable and profitable part of the business - vanilla extract. Once trained, you will be running two lines and following a 2-3 step process depending on the product. You will weigh and measure vanilla beans and handle up to 50 lbs into soakers. The first step involves soaking the beans in alcohol for up to 48 hours. The next step is pressing all the liquid out of the product to form it into a solid 'cake.' These 'cakes' will then be loaded into the cooker. You will oversee the entire process, setting specific timers and temperatures at each stage. You will follow work orders to get your own ingredients and utilize a sit-down electric forklift for transport, with training and certification provided. You must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and will be responsible for weighing products using a scale, performing basic math tasks such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Strong attention to detail is required to prevent any mistakes, as vanilla beans have significantly increased in value this season, making errors costly. **Hard Skills** + Material Handling + Loading + Measuring + Basic Math **Work Environment** Production environment, which can get warmer at times in the summer. Strict GMP guidelines must be followed. Steel-toe shoes are mandatory and must be put on once in the building and taken off before leaving.
