**Job Title: 1st Shift Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our team. The working hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime (OT) of approximately 10-15 hours a week. Overtime hours are from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm, and candidates must be open to working on Saturdays when the business requires it. **Responsibilities** + Operate a slitter machine to slit continuous lengths of aluminum into strips of specified width. + Space rotary blades on the machine shaft according to the width specified for strips. + Mount a roll of material on machine supports and thread the material over the tension bar, between feed rollers, and under rotary blades. + Start the machine and observe the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting and winding. + Move levers to stop, start, and regulate the speed of the machine and to align material with rotary blades. + Remove narrow rolls of material from the winding shaft. + Stack material on shelves according to width. **Essential Skills** + Strong tape measure reading skills + Slitter machine operating experience + General machine operating experience + Assembly experience + Manufacturing experience + Good work history **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with overhead crane operation, picking, packing, loading, and unloading + General production and laborer skills **Why Work Here?** When hired on, employees receive comprehensive medical, vision, and dental benefits.
