**Job Title: Shift Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation, specifically with band saws, forklifts, and micrometers/calipers. This role involves setting up and operating machinery to cut aluminum, as well as ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and work areas. **Responsibilities** + Operate and set up plate saws, ensuring accurate dimensions and materials (all aluminum). + Read and interpret measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers for inspections. + Operate a sit-down forklift after completing training on the plate saw. + Use an overhead crane to move large pieces of metal upon completion of cuts. + Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly processing area. + Complete all required information entry accurately. + Apply metal to customer orders and process material according to work order specifications. + Perform any other tasks as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Previous experience using a band saw for cutting aluminum. + Ability to operate a sit-down forklift. + Proficiency in reading measurements with a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper. + Experience in machine operation and metal cutting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure. + Experience in forklift and crane operation. + Ability to lift up to 70lbs individually and team lifts of up to 120lbs. **Why Work Here?** Join a great distribution, warehouse, and production environment with opportunities for growth. The facility has around 6 full-time employees, including manufacturing staff and drivers. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, vests, gloves, sleeves, and steel-toe shoes (with a voucher for Red Wing Shoes) are provided. The shift is from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.
