Job Title: 1st Shift Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 1st shift, from 6am to 3:30pm. This is a direct placement position responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities, including FANUC and ABB weld robots, Messer plasma tables, and hydraulic press brakes. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair all building-related machinery and equipment.Install electrical systems and equipment in accordance with city codes and industrial standards.Run secondary power distribution lines and circuits to supply various voltage, amperage, and phase requirements.Systematically diagnose malfunctioning equipment and correct the problem.Coordinate outside maintenance vendor activities.Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs using the QAD EAM system.Train operators to perform basic periodic maintenance.Identify areas of improvement to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.Maintain tool crib stock levels and ensure neat and orderly tool and maintenance cribs.Participate as a member of the Safety Committee.Maintain regular attendance.Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance checklists.Maintain spare parts list.Troubleshoot equipment issues and work with product engineers on new and current fabricated products.Work with PLCs (Allen Bradley) for troubleshooting.Essential SkillsAt least 4 years of experience as a maintenance technician.Minimum of 2 years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience in welding, fabricating, and assembly.Experience troubleshooting and repairing metal burning and forming equipment.Proficiency with circuitry, electronics, PLCs (AB 5000), motors, sensors, and VFD sensors.Ability to edit on PLCs and willingness to train in PLC school if necessary.Well-rounded technical skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance.Experience repairing hoists, pumps, and performing preventative maintenance on robots.Ability to diagnose problems and install 4-gang outlets (nothing super high voltage).Computer experience required, with MS Office being a plus.High School Diploma or GED.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing setting involving welding, fabricating, and assembly.Experience troubleshooting and repairing metal burning and forming equipment preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is heavy industrial, non-climate controlled, and can be hot and dirty. You will work with a team of 4-5 others in the maintenance department. The dress code includes safety glasses and ear plugs provided by the company, and metatarsal steel-toed boots/shoes provided by the employee. Upon full-time hire, an annual allowance of $125.00 is given for safety footwear. Metatarsal covers are available until boots are obtained.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
