**Job Title: Material Handler I**
**Job Description**
Under direct supervision, the Material Handler I handles and maintains the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. This role involves providing information for recording the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies. It may require operating motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. The position requires basic knowledge acquired through experience, specialized education, or training. The tasks are generally routine and manual, following detailed and defined rules/instructions and making simple judgments in straightforward situations. Typically, this job requires no prior experience.
**Responsibilities**
+ Handle and maintain the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas.
+ Provide information for recording the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies.
+ Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment as needed.
+ Follow detailed and defined rules and instructions.
+ Make simple judgments in straightforward situations.
**Essential Skills**
+ Inventory control
+ Shipping and receiving
+ Material handling
+ Operating an electric pallet jack
+ Operating a sit-down forklift
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Pallet jack operation
+ Forklift operator certification
+ Cycle counts
+ Experience with put aways and inventory stock
