**1st Shift Welder/Fabricators** + **_Coopersville, MI_** + **_Flexible Schedule (see below)_** + **_$20-24/hour_** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled 1st Shift Welder/Fabricators to join our team. **This role offers a flexible schedule,** allowing you to choose your own first shift from the following options: 05:00AM-2:30PM (Monday-Thursday), 06:00AM-3:30PM (Monday-Thursday), or 05:00AM-3:30PM (Monday-Thursday) with an optional 5:00AM-10:00AM on Fridays. There is no mandatory Saturday or Sunday work, as Saturdays are volunteer only and we never work Sundays. The role involves fabricating custom conveyors for a variety of manufacturing companies, primarily using MIG welding. Candidates must be able to weld from blueprints and be comfortable with grinding and operating a HI-Lo for moving large steel pieces. + Verify weldments are within specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes. + Move parts into position either manually or with a hoist or crane. + Position, align, fit, and weld parts, following blueprints and layout specifications. + Set up and operate fabricating machines to cut, form, punch, and drill components, such as handheld plasma cutters, grinders, drill presses, and iron workers. + Lay out and examine weldments to ensure they meet specifications. + Tack-weld fitted parts together. + Position or tighten braces, clamps, or bolt straps to secure parts in position for welding. + De-burr, prep, and tag parts and weldments for the next process. **Work Environment** You will be working in a manufacturing facility that builds custom conveyor systems for various industries, including major clients like Amazon and food companies, ensuring a steady workload. The facility is clean and organized, with multiple buildings within walking distance. Weld stations are well-lit and spacious, providing a comfortable work environment. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
