S&T Research Chemists & Engineers, New Graduate – Onsite

PPG Science & Technology is looking for 2024 / 2025 New Graduate with a bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Material Science to join our R&D research teams in Pittsburgh, PA.

You will help conduct research and development activities within the chemicals and coatings sector. You will need to be proficient in formulation preparation, data acquisition, result reporting, equipment troubleshooting, and data analysis.

You will report to the Manager within your department.

These are onsite positions in our Pittsburgh, PA Facilities.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe working environmentFollow laboratory safety protocols including wearing task-specific PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)Follow internally-established procedures to support R&D projectsDocument data and processes in PPG Electronic Laboratory Notebook and Reporting systemsCommunicate with others within and outside of projectsAnalyze results through statistical methodologiesExhibit initiative in the execution of assignmentsParticipate in implementing process improvements

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering requiredGPA of > 3.2Graduation date in Winter 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025
