Internship Description
The Economics Department Intern supports the Chief Economist in preparing economic analysis for external publications, internal reports, and for oral presentations to customers and to Comerica colleagues. The Economic Research Intern is also responsible for collecting, analyzing, and preparing economic data for projects, studies, and reports to management.

The position will require 20 hours/week and a commitment through the end of 2024. Hours can be scheduled flexibly during Comerica's normal business hours of 8 A.M. to 5 P.M Monday to Friday. The internship is an immediate opening.

Reporting Information/Location
The Economics Research Intern reports to the Chief Economist, SVP. The position is located at Comerica's offices in Frisco, TX. Comerica's Economics team follows a hybrid work schedule combining in-person and remote work.

Position Responsibilities Managing data for the economic modeling systems, including the US Macroeconomic Model, US Interest Rate Model, and State Forecast Models using EViews statistical software, Python, and Excel. Supporting various Comerica economic publications by managing databases, updating charts, providing additional commentary, and proofreading. Additional projects as assigned.
