Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Accountant / Accountant. This position will be located at our Aeronautics sector in El Segundo, CA / Redondo Beach, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Business Management Organization.
Roles and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
May design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Accountant (A01) or Accountant (A02).
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Accountant (A01):
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in or having majored in a Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of related experience.
Be majoring in or having majored in a Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Preferred Qualifications
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork, capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Bachelors degree in Accounting.
Government contracting experience.
Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS, IFRS.
Exposure to financial reporting systems, particularly SAP.
Pay Range
Associate Accountant (A01): $55,600 - $83,400
Accountant (A02): $67,100 - $100,700
