Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Systems Modeling Engineers or Systems Modeling Engineers . This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Dulles, VA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

Plan, organize and be involved in the full software lifecycle to develop spacecraft simulation software using modern tools and software best practices.

Develop models to support modeling and simulation activities across multiple projects.

Establish simulation requirements.

Work with other engineering disciplines to integrate and validate space vehicle modeling and simulation.

Prepare designs documentation, analysis, test results and presentation materials for internal and external customers.

Work in an innovative environment, on significantly diverse assignments, and in collaborative team settings across all levels

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Flight Software Engineering and/or Simulation within Tactical Space Systems.

Basic Qualifications: 

This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2.  Basic qualifications for a Software Engineer 1 is a Bachelor’s Degree. Basic qualifications for a Software Engineer 2 is a Master’s Degree.

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s and/or Master’s) from an accredited institutionBe majoring in or having majored in Software, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field;Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)Diverse programming experience: C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink, Windows/Linux scriptingSolid communication and teamwork skillsUnderstanding of waterfall, spiral and/or Agile software development processes and continuous integration;Ability to use software revision control tools such as Subversion and GitAbility to clearly document technical and programmatic status to management

Preferred Qualifications: 

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higherActive TS/SCI clearance

Pay Ranges for Dulles, VA

Associate Software Engineer: 74000-111000

Software Engineer: 87,200 - 130,800
