Northrop Grumman is seeking a business development or data analyst for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Redondo Beach, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector Competitive Intelligence and Price to Win Team.  

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2025.Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree or Business Development and Data Analytics related field.Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025.Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)Ability to manage multiple assignments and work them simultaneouslyProven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organizationDynamic self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills and executive presenceDemonstrates excellent communications skills (both oral and written) – ability to be persuasive, clear, and concise Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel 


Preferred Qualifications: 

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higherActive SCI clearance and/or an SSBI within the last 5 yearsDoD Industry Knowledge Combination of technical and business experience that enables the candidate to project competitor solutions and associated pricing for complex opportunitiesExperience with Jira, SharePoint, or other Performance Tracking software.Experience sorting through large amounts of data using software like Excel, VBA, etc.Experience in Cost Modeling and /or Basis of Estimate Preparation Experience with multiple PTW analysis techniques including bottom-up price projections, top-down analysis, and parametric estimatingUnderstanding of Cost Parametric used for Systems Development (hardware & software), Systems Integration (hardware & software), and Services (labor intense) Cost Proposal Management experience System Engineering experienceFamiliarity with SEER-SEM, COCOMO, Function Point Analysis or other Software toolsFamiliarity with SEER-H or other Hardware pricing tools

Intern Pay Range:

Bachelor's: $22.50 - $27.50 per hour

Master's: $33.00 - $34.75 per hour

Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
