Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Northrop Grumman is seeking A College Technical Intern. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Tampa, FL.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission System unit.

Basic Qualifications: 

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institutionBe majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree (or list specific majors)

Must have a U.S. Government secret clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) to start.

Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher

Intern Rate Range - Bachelors: $17.50 - $32.00

Intern Rate Range - Bachelors: $25.25 - $40.00

Salary Range: $17.50 - $28.25

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
