We encourage and reward you to take an active role in helping our clients achieve their goals. **CD - CRE Analyst Program Overview:** Analysts’ career paths begin with a structured training program that includes accounting, modeling, corporate finance, underwriting and financial analysis training followed by placement within one of CD -CRE’s verticals. Through exposure to a wide variety of lending transactions, Analysts will enhance their financial and industry analysis skills, build expertise in corporate finance and underwriting, and develop a comprehensive understanding of their portfolio of clients. **Job Description** Responsible for the financial analysis, risk assessment and credit structure recommendation for Commercial Real Estate clients and prospects. This includes prudent underwriting and effective credit and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and requirements, financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, on-going portfolio maintenance activities, data integrity, portfolio reporting and client support. Collaborate with deal team to maintain data integrity on existing portfolio and identify credit worthy projects within targeted markets. Supplement credit analysis with portfolio data, research, and property level evaluation from a wide variety of internal and external sources to develop an assessment of client, competitor, property segment, market and industry risks and trends. **Essential Responsibilities and Duties** Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time. + Assist in the preparation of the due diligence and underwriting documentation for new loan requests. + Responsible for developing components of credit underwriting and structuring on renewals and reviews, making independent recommendations based on assigned components of the underwriting work product. + Collaborate with PM Associates and Portfolio Managers researching and qualifying prospects and underwriting new opportunities. Applies understanding of credit risk and current portfolio exposures to evaluate and recommend new requests balancing risk /return for the Bank. + Complete performance and monitoring activity for assigned portfolio to include overall portfolio management, current CRE project performance vs. original expectations, required risk monitoring activity and understanding of current industry and market trends. + Monitor and report on portfolio data and analytics to maintain accurate data integrity across exposures and serve as primary support contact for audits and data inquiries. + Analyze financial statements/projections and document client performance, along with identifying risk and risk mitigants while maintaining accurate client records and file integrity. + Serve as a client and internal point of contact in regards to assigned portfolio. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Completed BA/BS degree with a scheduled graduation date of **December 2024 or May/June of 2025** + Overall GPA of 3.0 + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Proven analytical ability and attention to detail. + Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products. + Solid leadership and interpersonal skills + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Knowledge of credit principles. + Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints. + Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment.. + Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Real Estate, Business, Accounting, Math, Economics and Finance majors or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. + Masters in Real Estate, or combined Commercial Real Estate experience through internships and other experiences. + 1-3 years of portfolio management and client relationship experience preferably in Commercial Real Estate related industries. + Foundational knowledge of ARGUS software; high level Excel and database analysis tools, including knowledge in the use of 3rd party Real Estate Data Sources (CoStar, REIS, Axiometrics). + Familiarity with loan documentation, covenants, Corporate Accounting and financial statement reporting including analysis of financial statements. + Completion of commercial associate program or equivalent experience; or MBA in Accounting or Finance or in related field; or an equivalent combination of educational and experience or other related advanced degree. **At this time, Truist will not sponsor an applicant for employment authorization, nor will we offer any immigration-related support for this position (including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN-1 or TN-2, E-3, or sponsorship for U.S. permanent residence.)** **General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation:** All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
