The Rotational Program - Nuveen Real Estate Real Assets participates in a comprehensive rotational program that combines senior leadership interaction and cross-business experience with real life situations and projects. This job work with financial services technology platforms and tools and will learn the techniques, disciplines and processes that deliver the highest quality results to our customers. Each rotation is designed to improve business knowledge and build an overall understanding of the company. This job is assigned a mentor who provides ongoing coaching and feedback.

Rotational Program – Nuveen Natural Capital

Nuveen Natural Capital (“NNC”), a leading natural capital investment manager with over $12 billion in assets under management encompassing over two million acres of farmland and timber properties, is seeking qualified participants for its rotational program. The NNC rotational program provides recent undergraduates with exposure to three of its core investment areas: Global Horticulture, Global Viticulture and U.S. Row Crops. This two-year program combines senior leadership and cross-business interaction to provide participants with unique experiences and responsibilities. Each rotation is designed to improve business knowledge and build an overall understanding of the NNC platform.  Participants will be matched with a senior level mentor who will provide ongoing coaching and feedback throughout the program.

Global Horticulture

The Global Horticulture team invests in permanent crops such as almonds, pistachios, walnuts, avocados, apples, and citrus which offer the opportunity for attractive income returns and appreciation. The existing portfolio includes properties in California and Oregon as well as assets in selected international locations including Chile, Australia and Spain. Based in Fresno, California, the team focuses on investing in properties with excellent fundamental attributes suited to the crop being produced and providing exceptional standard of care through on-team agronomic and financial experts partnering with a diverse pool of world class crop managers.

Global Viticulture

The Global Viticulture team is headquartered in Napa, California, and invests in winegrape vineyards in California's major winegrowing regions, including Napa, Sonoma, Monterey and the Central Valley, as well as in New Zealand. Additionally, the team collaborates with NNC’s Australian team to source and underwrite potential acquisitions there. The team manages approximately 20,000 acres and markets wine grapes to more than 100 wineries every year.  The Global Viticulture team also interacts regularly with NNC’s wine and crop management companies.

 U.S. Row Crops

NNC’s U.S. Row Crops team leads investments in annual planting (row crop) properties located in strategic growing regions across the U.S. The team manages approximately 300,000 acres and partners with over 150 third-party growers, which lease the properties. In addition to sourcing and leading new investments, the team also actively manages the portfolio to improve properties, including irrigation, infrastructure, sustainability and technology projects. This rotation will be based in Memphis, Tennessee with periodic travel to each of the U.S. Row Crops primary investment regions.

Requirements:

Must have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or higher prior to the program's start

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
