2025 Emerging Talent Software Engineers - Full time – United States (April 2025 Start)

The Emerging Talent Software Engineers program is a two-year career development program, designed to provide entry-level software engineering talent with foundational technical and professional skills which enable them to build robust networks and establish successful careers at JPMorgan Chase. You will receive opportunities for job growth, accelerated career advancement, and career mobility. The program starts with an in-depth induction program that teaches you about our businesses, builds on your knowledge of development methodologies, and sharpens your professional skills and will focus on holistic development of your technology, professional, and leadership competencies and skills.

As a Software Engineer in the Emerging Talent Software Engineers, you will join an inspiring and curious team of technologists who will support you in developing new skills, experiencing new projects and businesses, and taking your career where you want to go. You’ll work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment—one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our customers globally. You will help build and optimize digital applications and systems that support millions of customers, clients, and employees worldwide. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders daily to stay focused on common goals.

The 2025 Emerging Talent Software Engineers - Full time – United States (April 2025 Start) role is open until January 13, 2025, unless the class is filled before that date. This is a full-time hybrid position with an anticipated start date of April 2025.  This opportunity is not for individuals currently enrolled in a full-time college or university program. Job responsibilities

Create innovative solutions that make a difference for our customers, clients and employees  Create and improve the design, analytics, coding and testing for high-quality software and new products  Own projects end-to-end, keeping teams and stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed.  Work and share ideas, information and innovation with our team of technologists from all over the world  Develop through on-going training, mentorship and access to senior leaders Participate in our Force for Good program to develop real-life tech solutions for social good organizations while learning new skills and collaborating with our JPMorgan Chase tech experts 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, or C#), version control systems, databases, data structures, unit testing and algorithms Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency and Security Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Ability to work and communicate in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture  Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement  Exceptional problem-solving ability and analytical skills Relevant leadership experience from community organization involvement or previous employment  Available to start with the Full-Time Emerging Talent Software Engineers program in April 2025 with a mandatory multi-week induction training. In-person attendance is required during induction training on May 5 – May 23. Extended travel may be necessary.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Obtained your foundational technology background in non-traditional ways including, but not limited to, technology bootcamps, workforce development programs and community colleges
