2025 Intern, Facilities Engineer – St. Augustine, FL
Northrop Grumman is seeking a facilities engineer intern to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program. This position will be in St. Augustine, FL. This position will be in person and working a 4/10 work schedule.
As an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of engineering specializations that may include:
Roles and Responsibilities
Shadow the Project Manager leading new building construction, building renovation, and equipment installationsCoordinate and input drawings and project files for database archivesUpdate AutoCAD drawings based on completed projects & field assessmentsParticipate on review team for design portion of facilities projects.Review and provide input for statement of work of construction related vendors and projectParticipate in design reviews and/or facilitate A/E vendor support of design reviewsAttend project meetings with internal customers for design related questions and requestsGain experience with requesting quotes, placing purchase orders, and processing invoices for contractorsGain experience interacting with contractors in a project manager relationshipGather, review and document facilities design standard information including furniture, fixture, equipment and building engineering disciplines.For a broader consideration, please consider completing a profile in our campus candidate community. Basic Qualifications
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2025.Be majoring in Construction Management, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) disciplineBe available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).Preferred Qualifications
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 or higherPrevious internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).Good presentation and writing/communication skills.Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups. Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects. Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.Intern Pay Range

Salary Range: $21.75 - $33.25The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
