Essential Functions:
Supports the planning of the Gas Construction and Maintenance field workload through accurate coordination and scheduling, with others.Ensures safe work practices are being employed in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Handbook and work activities are performed in accordance with Gas Distribution construction standards and operating procedures.Monitors contractors and in-house crews engaged in the field operations, of Eversource gas distribution system.Communicates with customers and community officials concerning all aspects of the gas construction work.Ensures the safety of personnel by taking direct preventive measures, participating in daily job briefs of crews, and ensuring all related standards, safety rules and laws are understood and followed.Verifies that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods, including monitoring for a high quality of workmanship and productivity.Participates in project update, planning, and staff meetings.Other duties as assigned.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Requires knowledge of gas distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and practices, safety standards and business processes. Requires project and schedule management skills including computerized work and materials management and scheduling tools. Good communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and teamwork skills. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Word & Excel).Education:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Construction Management or relevant technical Discipline or equivalent work experience.Experience:
Zero (0) to three (3) years in field service, utility operations ortechnical discipline with customer service experience.Licenses & Certifications:
