Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Assosciate to join our in-house recruitment team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their career in resourcing and recruitment within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in attracting, engaging, and securing top talent to join our organisation while gaining hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment processes.  We care deeply about thinking differently about how to solve our challenges such as skill shortages, attracting greater diversity into construction and accessing a global talent pool.

No one day is the same but the below outlines some of the areas you can expect to be involved in.  As often the first touch point people have with the business you will have an important role in the candidate experience and journey.

Spotting Talent: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their needs and help identify top candidates for a wide range of roles. Creating Connections: Engage with candidates, build talent pipelines, and ensure they have a seamless recruitment experience. Bringing Our Brand to Life: Represent us at career fairs and networking events, showcasing our business as an employer of choice. Shaping Futures: Support onboarding processes to ensure new starters have the best possible welcome to the business. Innovating Recruitment: Help improve processes and get involved in exciting projects, such as diversity and inclusion initiatives or tech-driven hiring solutions.

Degree Subjects   

A degree in Business, HR, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Key Deliverables and Accountabilities  

Recruitment Process Coordination: Assist in drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies on job boards, and managing applicant tracking systems (ATS). Screen CV's and applications including pre-screening and shortlisting candidates. Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a seamless candidate experience. Maintain regular communication with candidates to keep them informed about the recruitment process. Candidate Engagement: Support employer branding initiatives to attract graduate talent, such as career fairs, social media campaigns, and university partnerships. Build relationships with potential candidates and maintain talent pipelines. Respond to candidate inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Administrative Support: Ensure all recruitment documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Support with onboarding tasks, such as preparing offer letters and contracts. Assist in generating recruitment reports and analyzing data to improve processes. Team Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements and team needs. Partner with the recruitment team on special projects, such as diversity and inclusion initiatives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes and tools.

Entry requirements

We are looking for graduates who meet the following criteria: 

Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable. Full mobility as you may be required to relocate/travel for your role. Strong numeracy and literacy skills A degree course with a clear route to professional accreditation Your degree classification should be 2:2 or higher. Entry degrees will be listed within each of our graduate vacancies and differ from role to role.
