Participants in the RDP will be immersed in hands-on training with functional subject matter experts and business leaders who will provide both mentoring and guidance throughout the program. This program is designed as a two-year rotation (three eight-month assignments) in a specific business area or engineering function. At the conclusion of the two-year program, the RDP participant will be placed full-time in one of the relevant rotational function areas, as determined by business need and as directed by executive management. This position will be part of the single use endoscope (SUE) manufacturing engineering team. As a global leader in re-usable endoscope technologies across a broad range of therapeutic and diagnostic applications, Olympus is on a bold new journey to develop, launch, and support a range of SUE products to complement our re-usable scopes, The manufacturing engineering team is engaged along every step of this exciting journey including early-stage design for excellence (DfX) analyses to ensure designs are suitable to commercial scale manufacturing, manufacturing process and equipment design and development, design transfer to pilot and commercial manufacturing, and process improvement and sustaining support post launch. This role can be based in either Westborough, MA or Brooklyn Park, MN. The annual starting salary for this role is $66,500 (Brooklyn Park, MN) or $69,500 (Westborough, MA). **Job Duties** The Rotational Development Program allows for a vide view of OCA business groups and shows the program participants how each area of the business function supports the overall company goals and strategies. The Rotational Development Program – SUE Manufacturing Engineering focus – will consist of 3 rotations within each of these areas: **Project Management:** + Developing and managing project timelines + Assessing and managing project risks + Coordinating across the various sub-functions within operations on the team. + Working cross-functionally to maintain integration across the product development team. **Manufacturing process development and validation:** + Evaluation and selection of optimum process technologies + Feasibility and prototyping + Facility and floorplan design and development + Process characterization and optimization + Process validation and testing to ensure capability and stability + Process control and in process test plan development and validation **Equipment development and validation:** + Evaluation and selection of optimum equipment/automation technologies + Requirements development + Equipment design and specification creation + Equipment build and validation to ensure capability and stability Perform all other duties as assigned. **Job Qualifications** **Required:** + Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree is required, with the degree being obtained no more than 24 months prior to the RDP cohort start date. Program is limited to undergraduate or graduate degrees only. + Open to any Engineering discipline, although some rotational areas may require certain majors/focuses. + Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without immigration-related work sponsorship now or in the future. + Proven academic excellence and a passion for continued learning is a must **Preferred:** + Must possess demonstrated leadership skills. + Strong, professional communication skills. + Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks. + Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.
