Quality Assurance Co-op Role Overview

The Quality Assurance department is responsible for supporting product manufacturing and disposition within operations. This includes - Incoming Quality Assurance of raw materials and commodities, Manufacturing Quality Assurance, Validation, Quality Engineering, Training and Regulatory Compliance. Expectations that the Quality Associate will maintain high quality levels on all aspects of their job while achieving high levels of efficiency.
As a Co-op, your role will be to learn and implement QA improvements. At the end of the assignment, the Co-op will deliver a presentation of the improvement activities implemented and project completions.
Location: Worcester, MA
Key Responsibilities Include:
Support troubleshooting and resolution of quality compliance issues.Preform site walk-throughs of the manufacturing area to ensure conformance with AbbVie Quality System requirements and all applicable regulatory requirements.Work efficiently and cooperatively toward project timelines and goals.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a bachelor’s in chemical engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or other related fields.Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the Co-op. Must be able to commit to a 6-month program at AbbVie Bioresearch Center (ABC) in Worcester, MA (June / July - December). Expected graduation date between May 2026 – May 2027.Strong attention to detail, communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation.Proficient in basic office tools such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with use of electronic document management and laboratory information management systems.Familiarity with Quality Systems as well as cGMP and other regulatory requirements.Additional Information
