Job Summary: As an Accounting Intern, you will assist the Accounting team in various tasks related to accounts receivable and payable, financial closing, purchase orders and invoicing, bank account and statement reconciliation, and process improvement. You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel to complete tasks, conduct research to update data, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and build rapport within the organization. This is a paid internship opportunity, and the duration of the internship is flexible, depending on the intern's availability and performance. The Accounting Intern will report to the Accounting Manager or another designated supervisor. The internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and develop skills that are highly valued in the accounting and finance industry. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with processing invoices for internal and external vendors + Audit employee reimbursements for compliance with company policies + Assist with registering product warranties for customers + Aid in certain financial closing tasks + Work with the Feldco CRM and Accounting system to process customer referrals + Conduct research to update data + Contribute to process improvement efforts of the department + Communicate via internal and external emails + Network and build rapport within the organization + Support leadership of the Accounting and Finance functions at Feldco by participating in ad-hoc projects of the department Qualifications: + Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree, or currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field + Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data + Familiarity in MS Excel and Word + Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills + Willingness to work effectively both independently and on a team What Can Feldco Offer You? + Leadership: We are the largest replacement roofing, window, door, and siding company in the Midwest, and we take great pride in our leadership and transformation of the market.
