2025 Summer Associate, Acquisitions & Development
Responsibilities The Summer Associate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of a development project including: financial analysis and modeling, due diligence, zoning, legal oversight, budgeting, design, construction, acquisition, project management and leasing. Conduct financial analysis and due diligence for new investment opportunities Assist with all aspects of development: financing, entitlement / government approvals, public relations, design, leasing / marketing, and construction Support the team in preparing business plans, including annual operating plans, financial forecasts and strategic plans Manage detailed municipal filings for various development related programs, such as municipal financing applications and real estate tax abatements Monitor construction costs, budgeting, and the timeline of deliverables Perform research and analysis to benchmark trends in target markets by tracking rents, sales per SF, operating costs, competitive supply and expansion activity Minimize exposure and risk on various projects Effectively communicate relevant project information to super Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $40/hr Qualifications Qualifications: To be considered for the 2025 Summer Associate program, applicants must meet the following criteria: First year MBA or Master’s student with a target graduation date of Spring 2026 Actively pursuing a graduate degree in Real Estate A strong passion for real estate development 2+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance or real estate analysis Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Exhibits a strong understanding of technical skills and job specific knowledge Self-starter with a proactive approach to tackling tasks and challenges Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic work environment Related is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
