2025 Summer Associate, Affordable Foundation
Responsibilities The Summer Associate will provide support for Related Affordable Foundation projects including budgeting, program development, and nonprofit partnership management. Design and develop a comprehensive grants management handbook documenting Foundation internal processes for partnering with nonprofits and awarding scholarships to affordable housing residents Provide thought partnership and contribute to organizational subject-matter knowledge bank and strategy through research in the following areas: health and wellness, workforce development, youth development, and economic development Engage with community-based organizations and conduct site visits at Related Affordable properties Assist with monthly report preparation and review grant applications and performance reports Collaborate with Acquisition, Construction, Portfolio Management and Property Management teams Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $45/hr Qualifications To be considered for the 2025 Summer Associate program, applicants must meet the following criteria:  First year MBA or Master’s student with a target graduation date of Spring 2026  Actively pursuing a graduate degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Public Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility, or equivalent field 2+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit or public sector A strong passion for social impact, economic mobility and volunteerism Exhibits clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing  Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong project management skills Self-starter with a proactive approach to tackling tasks and challenges  Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic work environment   Related is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.  Please note that we review each application thoroughly.
