As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include:
Collaborate with database teams to build relationships.Understand the database technologies, platforms and architectures that supports mission critical applications. Understand the processes and procedures of database administration standards. Closely work with database administrators to shadow the day to day work, life cycle management, operational support. Participates in the requirements gathering and designing of new database platforms. Design, develop and create databases for database technologies like Oracle, NoSQL, Mongo, Redis, PostgreSQL on-premise or on Cloud. Understand and get hands on experience with all toolings used for database administration - settting up monitoring, backups, security, etc.Here’s what it takes to get started
Required qualifications
Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2025 - May 2026Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current programAbility to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the programAuthorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorshipPreferred qualifications
