What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

Charter’s Financial Reporting Intern will have the opportunity to support the Financial Reporting Department in project-based work such as: Facilitate and drive consistency of internal controls across the organization through narrative standardization Attend SOX walkthroughs for business processes and related systems Assist with flowchart documentation to capture the data flow for business processes Assist with documentation requests from the internal and external audit teams to support the financial statements and internal controls Use various software applications to collect and assist in review of ESG data Assist the External Reporting team with preparation of the financial statement and footnote tie-outs for quarterly SEC filings and earnings materials Assist the External Reporting team with preparation of the Disclosure Checklist for quarterly SEC filings Assist the Technical Accounting team in review of contracts and accounting arrangements for the appropriate accounting and presentation of conclusions to key company personnel Support and interact with various departments throughout the Company, including Corporate Accounting, Tax, and Internal Audit

Required qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced DegreeMust have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current programAbility to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the programAuthorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications
