What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

Support of the configuration and installation of Network Interface Devices. Support order administrative tasks as required. Troubleshooting network issues Layer 1 through Layer 3 on Spectrum network and third party provider networks. Coordinating the dispatch and Scope of Work for Field Services Contractors to perform on site telecommunications install activities. Install sites may be single customer / single site or single customer multi-site. Topologies supported include EPL, EVPL, EPLAN, and FIA.

Required qualifications

Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2025 - May 2026Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current programAbility to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the programAuthorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

Industry certifications CCNA and JNCIA are encourged but not requiredBasic networking knowledge / troubleshooting skillsAbility to manage multiple administrative and technical tasks in a fast paced environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.Analytical skillsCollaboration skillsCommunication skills – verbal and writtenDrives results through effective project and time managementProficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
