AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies offers paid summer internships to students enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate degree programs. As an AmeriHealth Caritas intern, you will learn about the healthcare industry, our Medicaid and Medicare plans, pharmacy benefits management, and behavioral health care — and how we are working to improve access to healthcare for all Americans. You will also join us in building healthy communities through active service projects that support our mission.
**Required Eligibility Guidelines: Candidates must meet either of the following eligibility required guidelines to be considered for the AmeriHealth Caritas Internship program.**
+ _Candidates must be able to work a Hybrid schedule, which is 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely._
+ _Candidates must be able to fully commit to the approximate 10-week internship program from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025._
**Option 1:**
+ Candidates must be rising Seniors by June 2, 2025, actively enrolled in a full-time undergraduate 4-year college degree program, and majoring in Healthcare Management
+ Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale
**Option 2:**
+ Candidates must be enrolled in an MBA program by June 2, 2025
+ Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale
**Responsibilities:**
As an intern, you will work alongside industry professionals, gaining hands-on experience in healthcare business operations by analyzing data, optimizing workflows, and developing strategic solutions. **Education & Experience:**
+ Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and an MBA student or a rising senior pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess trends, and develop insights to support decision-making.
+ Knowledge of managed care organizations (MCOs), including enrollment cycles, business models, and operational frameworks.
+ Understanding of healthcare business operations, with an interest in streamlining processes, improving efficiencies, and enhancing provider and member experiences.
+ Ability to conduct research and evaluate key healthcare data, including demographic and socioeconomic factors affecting access and outcomes.
+ Collaborative mindset and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally, present findings, and contribute to strategic discussions.
