2025 Summer Intern | Optimization and Efficiency Solutions Intern - Hybrid

Submissions after this date will not be considered.** AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies offers paid summer internships to students enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate degree programs. As an AmeriHealth Caritas intern, you will learn about the healthcare industry, our Medicaid and Medicare plans, pharmacy benefits management, and behavioral healthcare — and how we are working to improve access to healthcare for all Americans. You will also join us in building healthy communities through active service projects that support our mission. **Required Eligibility Guidelines: Candidates must meet either of the following required eligibility guidelines to be considered for the AmeriHealth Caritas Internship program.** + _Candidates must be able to work a Hybrid schedule, which is 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely._ + _Candidates must be able to fully commit to the approximate 10-week internship program from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025._ **Option 1:** + Candidates must be rising Seniors by June 2, 2025, actively enrolled in a full-time undergraduate 4-year college degree program, and majoring in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, and/or a related field + Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale **Option 2:** + Candidates must be enrolled in an MBA program by June 2, 2025 + Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale **Summary:** We are looking for a motivated Optimization and Efficiency Solutions Intern to help design and implement a tracking mechanism for portfolio and project management. Using tools like Smartsheet, Planview, or similar platforms, you will create a structured system that enhances visibility, reporting, and collaboration across projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in project management, data organization, and digital transformation. As an intern, you will work alongside industry professionals, gaining hands-on experience in healthcare business operations by analyzing data, optimizing workflows, and developing strategic solutions. If you’re looking for an internship that provides meaningful exposure to healthcare operations, sharpens your analytical skills, and allows you to contribute impactful work, this is the perfect opportunity. **Responsibilities:** + Design and develop a project tracking framework in Smartsheet, Planview, or another suitable tool + Gather requirements from stakeholders to ensure the system meets organizational needs + Configure dashboards, reports, and workflows to automate tracking and reporting + Ensure data accuracy and consistency, developing templates and standard operating procedures + Document and train users on how to navigate and utilize the system effectively + Analyze existing processes and suggest improvements for better portfolio management + Assist with data migration from legacy tracking systems, if needed **Education & Experience:** + Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, and/or a related field + Familiarity with project management tools (Smartsheet, Planview, etc.) is preferred + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail + Ability to gather and document business requirements from stakeholders + Experience with data visualization, dashboards, and/or workflow automation is a plus + Effective communication (listening, verbal, and written) skills + Ability to present insights and recommendations + Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively https://www.amerihealthcaritas.com/careers/internships.aspx As a company, we support internal diversity through: Recruiting.
