General Summary:
The Intern, under direction from the discipline Manager and/or project engineer, applies CAD/Revit skills and design knowledge in generating engineering design documents, digital models and databases.
Essential Job Functions:
Create engineering documents using computer aided design (CAD) technology utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit software.Work closely with engineers during design phase of a project to understand scope of the project information to determine design data needs and guidelines for the project.Provide limited design on documents and detail design documents with input from engineers.Make corrections and produce final documents for engineers review. Check for integration of sections and coordination of disciplines. Work with engineers to resolve document coordination and production problems.Reproduce documents upon request.May produce drawings and digital design models in 3D software applications.Deploy team oriented problem solving.Perform related duties as assigned.Employment Qualifications:
Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline at an accredited university. Students should have completed at least (2) years of classes.Experience:
Previous internship/co-op experience is a plusSkills/Competencies:
