Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center – Cole Engineering Center, Warren, MI, three times per week, at minimum.

As a Global Purchasing & Supply Chain Intern at General Motors, you will immerse yourself in the heart of our operations, learning how we source and manage the vital components that keep our vehicles and business running smoothly. This may include solving complex challenges, innovating with industry leaders, collaborating, and networking cross-functionally, and volunteering for community service and team-building activities. This 10- to 12-week internship is designed for current college students eager to gain hands-on experience and make impactful contributions to our team.

Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in one of the following: Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement/ Acquisitions and Contract Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, General Engineering
Must be graduating in December 2025 or later
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Previous purchasing, logistics, or supply chain internship experience
Participation in Supply Chain case competition team or similar school association
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization
Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed

Start dates for this internship role are May & June of 2025.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $3,800 - $5,200, dependent upon class status and degree.
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2025 Student Program.
