Overview of the role: This internship will be duel-focused on both Hartford Funds’ Internal Sales and Business Intelligence teams, playing a vital part in each department’s day-to-day tasks as well as participating in larger projects throughout their time at our firm.
Please note: Summer Internship roles at Hartford Funds will adhere to our hybrid structure of working remotely on Mondays and Fridays, and working out of our Wayne, PA office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Reliable transportation on in-office days is required.
Responsibilities of the role:
Extensive use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for various projectsBuild focus customer lists, run competitive analysis reports- Morningstar and CRMConduct territory analysis and gather business intelligenceCreate and execute on sales campaigns aligned with firm initiativesExecute customer orders and other various marketing requestsAssist in various capacities including Inside Sales, Sales Support, Business Intelligence, and our Investment Consulting GroupWork with the Business Intelligence (BI) team and internal business partners to provide controls to prevent future occurrences and work with data team to create long term solutionsGain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignmentsQualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferredCombine strong quantitative and analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to generate simple and impactful outputStrong ability to multi-task and handle several projects simultaneouslyEffective team player, able to work with people of all levels and build strong relationshipsComfortable with phone conversations and presenting in both large and small groupsInterest in capital markets / financial planning preferredCompensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
