Position Summary

The EHS Intern will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in the development and programming of a new EHS Electronic Management of Change (MOC) and General Work Permit (GWP) system. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in EHS practices, software development, and project management. Program dates: Monday, June 2 – Friday, August 8, 2025.


Key Responsibilities
 

Assist in the design, development, and programming of a new EHS Electronic Management of Change and General Work Permit system.

Collaborate with EHS professionals and IT specialists to gather requirements and ensure the system meets all regulatory and company-specific needs.

Develop user-friendly interfaces and workflows for the MOC and GWP processes.

Participate in the testing and debugging of the system to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with EHS standards.

Support the implementation and rollout of the new system, including user training and troubleshooting.

Conduct data analysis and generate reports to monitor the effectiveness and compliance of the new system.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the EHS Electronic Management of Change and General Work Permit system.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must attend an accredited university in Puerto Rico or reside in Puerto Rico.

Gain hands-on experience in EHS management, software development, and project management.

Develop skills in programming, database management, and system design.

Enhance knowledge of MOC and GWP processes and their importance in maintaining a safe work environment.

Collaborate with experienced EHS professionals, IT specialists, and cross-functional teams.

Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative EHS solutions.
