Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for a Material Handling Intern to add to our Material Handling department in Denton, Texas.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

Dock Utilization Study Evaluate the Use of the Docks today Consider the best use of Docks for the Plant Expansion Develop a proposal to schedule loads and spread deliveries for better dock efficiencies Optimized Freight Deliveries Evaluate Incoming Loads for maximum utilization Look for opportunities to consolidate or reduce the frequency of shipments to fill out trailers DPU Reduction Review Data Identify Opportunities Provide Recommendations Plan for Every Part - Assist the Team with Developing Plans for Project Implementations Skills

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Logistics, Business, or related Program and have completed their sophomore year of college.
