About the Rotational Internship Program

The 10-week summer Rotational Internship Program will serve an important role in supporting the Acquisitions, Portfolio Management, and Investor Relations teams. As an intern, you will rotate between these groups, working closely with cross-functional groups to better understand the organization and investment process from initial fundraising and analyzing investment opportunities to managing a portfolio and the disposition process.

How you will contribute to our team:

Acquisitions

Financial Modeling and Analysis: You will collaborate with the team to build and adapt financial models to analyze investment opportunities for potential acquisitions whilst conducting market research, making recommendations for strategy, and preparing Investment Committee presentations. Market Analysis: You will help the team maintain Waterton’s focus on the external market by conducting ongoing research of the industry to detect market trends and related information for analysis in defining investment strategies and make recommendations based upon analysis.

Portfolio Management

Investment Valuation: You will collaborate with members of the team to prepare quarterly valuations and review external appraisals.  Portfolio Monitoring & Business Plan Progression: You will work closely with members of our team to review and assess investment performance across our portfolios and make recommendations on business plan strategy. 

Investor Relations

Marketing Materials: You will collaborate with the team to update marketing materials (fact sheet, pitch decks, due diligence questionnaires) for existing and new products. Prospect Investor Analysis: You will assist in prospect research, qualifying and preparing target investor outreach and aggregate notes by type, region, allocation and contact information.

 What You’ll Bring- Desired Skills and Experience

Currently working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree required, with a Major in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or similar preferred. Ability to manage relationships and build rapport with others, while keeping everyone informed and on the same page in a professional manner. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Intermediate skillset in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and the ability to focus on multiple deadlines.
