Job Overview: 

Leslie’s is seeking a motivated and creative Content Writer Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for aspiring content creators looking to develop expertise in SEO, digital marketing, and storytelling across multiple platforms. You will work closely with our content and marketing teams to craft compelling and educational materials that resonate with our audience, enhance engagement, and drive conversions.

What You Can Expect:

10-week program, with weekly schedule Monday-Thursday. Program specific training and development through orientation, skills workshops, and hands-on learning. Exposure to Senior leadership through a team project where interns will work cross-departmentally to address a real-life opportunities within our business. Interns will deliver final presentations to leaders across the organization at the completion of the program. Functional learning and professional growth within your designated business area.

Responsibilities: 

SEO Research & Content Optimization: Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for high-ranking content. Implement on-page SEO strategies to enhance visibility. Optimize existing blog content to improve user experience, search rankings, and brand consistency. Educational Blog Article Writing: Research and write informative, engaging, and SEO-optimized articles related to pool and spa care. Align content with the brand’s voice, audience needs, and industry trends. YouTube Video Script Writing: Develop engaging scripts for educational and promotional videos. Collaborate with video production team to ensure scripts align with visual storytelling and branding. Short-Form Copywriting: Write concise and compelling content for email campaigns, product descriptions, website banners, and more. Tailor messaging to different platforms while maintaining brand consistency.

Essential Competencies

Research Abilities: Comfortable researching industry-related topics and transforming technical information into user-friendly, customer-focused Exceptional Writing Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content that aligns with the brand’s voice. SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with keyword research, meta tags, and best practices for search engine optimization. Storytelling & Creativity: Strong sense of narrative structure, audience engagement, and persuasive writing techniques. Editing & Proofreading: Ability to self-edit and refine content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and basic SEO tools (such as Google Analytics or SEMrush) is a plus.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field. (expected graduation no later than Spring 2026). Previous business internship experience preferred. Ability to work at the Phoenix, AZ corporate office on in-person days. (Out-of-state students are welcome to apply if they can attend in-office days) Authorization to work in the United States. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
