Job Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising Data Analyst Intern to support our Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) team. This role provides hands-on experience in forecasting, inventory planning, and data-driven decision-making. The intern will contribute to key initiatives that enhance inventory visibility and improve business agility.

What You Can Expect:

10-week program, with weekly schedule Monday-Thursday. Program specific training and development through orientation, skills workshops, and hands-on learning. Exposure to Senior leadership through a team project where interns will work cross-departmentally to address a real-life opportunities within our business. Interns will deliver final presentations to leaders across the organization at the completion of the program. Functional learning and professional growth within your designated business area.

Responsibilities: 

Support the MFP team with data analysis and forecasting to drive key business decisions. Focus on one key department’s performance, providing ad-hoc analysis to maximize peak selling results. Develop a Key Item Buyplan to allow the MFP team to accurately plan key items/never-out items at the SKU level. Utilize Excel-based tools, Macros, and SQL to analyze and optimize inventory investments. Provide additional visibility and precision in inventory management, enhancing ordering processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasting and planning strategies.  

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree. (expected graduation no later than Spring 2026). Previous business internship experience preferred. Ability to work at the Phoenix, AZ corporate office on in-person days. (Out-of-state students are welcome to apply if they can attend in-office days) Authorization to work in the United States. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
